If you are an inspired and motivated back-end engineer who cares and thinks as much about the customer experience as you do about technology and smart solutions, you are the person we are looking for. You will be working in a small team and facing new challenges to build up the core code of the Scewo mobility device.

We are currently using C++ together with Visual Studio to develop, debug and deploy the code directly wirelessly on our microprocessor.

About Us
We are Scewo, an ETH spin-off working on the wheelchair of the future. Our wheelchair climbs stairs safely but is still agile on flat ground. We work together with industrial designer closely to not combine great technology with impressive aesthetics. Our mission is to give handicapped people a complete barrier free experience and allow them to go wherever they want.

In summer 2018 we will deliver our first product which will be available to the public at one of the most famous museums in Zurich. Your code will be running on this version!

You will take over the lead of the software development of our device. Together with your team you will be responsible for bringing the prototype to a product. This includes developing a secure framework for state transitions and implementing new sensor systems to automate features such as collision avoidance or an advanced balancing algorithm.
